Assistance

Each class needs a Class Coordinator who will periodically receive phone calls from the teacher to be passed to the other members of the class. The teacher will inquire about a volunteer for this role during the first class.

If you don't mind giving out your email address, it would be helpful for your dancer's teacher to pass messages to you quickly and easily. Please let your teacher know if you are online. There is space for your email address on the registration form.

Please let us know if your child is experiencing difficulty in any other part of her/his activities (i.e. school, family) so that we can be sensitive to those issues affecting her/him. Thank you.

Fundraising

Those who volunteer to help with fundraising will be asked to help in one or more of the following areas:

- Devising projects and deciding where the money will go.
- Setting up programs, advertising, raffle prizes.
- Co-ordination of Christmas charity donation - bake sale / craft sale
- Ceilidh/Silent Auction in February/March. A committee will be created early in the fall term.
- Look for information about the Fall Fundraiser during registration. Barb Campbell, 839-3418, and Catharine Wallace, 232-1295 are our Co-ordinators for most of the Fundraising projects, and they would be delighted to hear from you with your ideas, input, suggestions and offers of help.

Other areas of Volunteering

- Helping co-ordinate school trips.
- Help Organize concerts
- Coordinating the OHDA Kitchen for February 2006
- Coordinating hospitality, etc. for the Examination weekend in May 2006
- Year End Recital - talents of all sorts needed here. (June 2006)

Second Hand Clothing

We need all dancers to look in their closets, and take out all outgrown, (but not outworn!) Choreography, Highland, Jig, Hornpipe, National and practice clothes or outfits. Please bring all items to Saturday classes on October 16th and 23rd, 2004, for sale at our Second Hand Clothing Sale in November at the Sandy Hill Community Centre. Co-ordinator Christine Cameron will be pleased to receive your items. See the Staff List for her phone and e-mail.
