Configuring Open Transport's TCP/IP stack
  • To configure TCP/IP (for system 7.5 with Open Transport) Go to your Apple Menu and choose Control Panels.
  • Double Click on the TCP/IP icon.
  • It is important that the dialer that is being used matches the Connect Via box.
  • When you've entered the settings as illustrated, proceed to configure your PPP dialer:

Extra Settings: Clicking on the Options button at the bottom of this window simply gives you the option of making OT/PPP active, or reverting back to classic networking.

Another option you may want to check if you are having difficulties, is the Network Software Selector. This allows you to revert back to 'classic' MacTCP connectivity, rather than using Open Transport.  It is located in the Apple Extras folder. The Macintosh must also be restarted when this setting is changed
