Eudora Light SetupTo install Eudora from a download, run the file you downloaded, by double clicking its icon or from the START button, and go to RUN:
- To find the downloaded file, click BROWSE, and go to the directory it is in.
- Then click OK to commence the installation program.
- The installation program will then begin. Simply click Next and Yes buttons throughout the installation program, to install Eudora to the default location.
- The installation program will ask you if you want to view the ReadMe file ... select No.
- Eudora should now be installed. To run the program, click the Start button, then select Programs, Eudora Light, then Eudora Light again.
- Eudora will then present a dialog box asking you if you would like it to be used as the default mail client. Click Yes.
- The program will then display another informative dialog box regarding context-sensitive help. Hit the Close button at any time.
- Eudora will then prompt you to enter your mail settings. In POP Account field, enter in your user name, followed by "@mail.mondenet.com", i.e. username@mail.mondenet.com. Also, enter your real name.
- If you have already installed, and need only to reconfigure, these settings are under the Tools menu, at Options.
- In older versions, the settings are under the Special menu, at Settings.
- Then click the Hosts button, and enter mail.mondenet.com in the SMTP: field. After that, click the Ok button, and Eudora is set up!
- To learn how to use Eudora as a mail client, simply hold the mouse cursor over the various toolbar icons. After about 2 seconds, a yellow
tooltip will come up describing what that button does (eg: New Message).
